Julie’s teaching philosophy was formed over the years through her teachers and mentors, the late Joanne Winter, a former LPGA Teaching Pro of the year and Ed Oldfield, Sr. ranked by Golf Magazine as a Top-100 teacher, and guru to many of her fellow LPGA touring professionals.
Julie played tournament golf both as an amateur and professional, competing on the Ladies PGA tour for seven years. Since that time, she has developed a loyal following through private lessons.
Twice named the “number one putter” on Tour, Julie is an expert at teaching the short game.
Julie’s in-depth knowledge of golf swing mechanics allows her to help clients build a simple, efficient and more effective golf swing. By individualizing her teaching methods, Julie communicates in terms understandable to both the novice and the scratch golfer. Julie teaches private and group lessons to students at all levels, from the physically handicapped to the polished player. Julie believes that the fundamentals must be presented in golf instruction. She teaches clients the proper grip, alignment, ball position, solid turn and weight shift. As her students practice these fundamentals, they grow more successful in shot making and play with greater consistency.

Julie Pyne competed in over 150 LPGA tournaments and 6 U.S. Opens. By the time she rose to the rank of 31st in the world in 1980, Julie had already amassed a number of collegiate and women’s amateur titles.
